Meet Our Coach –
L. V. Sivakumar

With over two decades of coaching experience since 1999, L. V. Sivakumar is a seasoned chess master whose passion and dedication have shaped the future of countless chess players. A former Andhra Pradesh State Chess Champion and a 20-time State Open Chess Champion, his strategic expertise is unmatched, having achieved a peak FIDE rating of 2180. Recognized as one of India’s finest chess educators, he was honored with the prestigious Best Coach Award by the Ministry of Youth and Affairs, Government of India, in 2008 at Shastri Bhavan, New Delhi.

Under his guidance, LVS Chess Academy has produced exceptional talent, including Telangana’s first International Master, Chakravarthy Reddy, Telangana’s first Women International Master, Sahajasri, and International Master G.V. Saikrishna. As a FIDE Instructor, L. V. Sivakumar’s coaching philosophy focuses on nurturing strategic thinking, creativity, and sportsmanship.
